In progress

I am one week away from finishing the semester and yet, I managed to find time to work on a sweater. I have a little bit of length to go in the body and then I need to add sleeves. I haven't decided if I want to make it a cowl neck or not. But the best thing about it, is that I made the pattern up myself. This will be my first (and a half) original pattern. (The first one, I only count as a half because I kind of took two patterns and smacked them together and finally added my own flair.)

Here are a few pictures of the unfinished piece (though pictures don't really do it justice):

Counting down the days

The semester is almost over and I will be able to crochet more! Woohoo. In the meantime, I have been getting my fill online. Crochet Insider's new issue is up on th website. The gallery has some pictures from Crochet Fashion . . . such beautiful lace. Most of the designs are a little too risque for me, but the lace . . .WOW!

New yarn

What am I going to do with these?:

I don't know yet. I bought 4 skeins of the teal, 2 of the yellow and the burgundy one is BIG skein. I should be able to get more than 3 projects out of this recent purchase.

Aunt Scarf

I am calling this the aunt scarf because one of my aunts bought me yarn and the only specification was that a scarf was returned. She left the design of the scarf up to me. So, I came up with this.

It is a half herringbone with an asymmetrical stripe of crossed double crochet.
