Pineapple Lace Sweater

While doing a search for another project, I cam across this beautiful little sweater at My Knittin World. The pictures were so great that I was able to analyze the pattern and make it from the pictures alone. I used recycled yarn. I'm pretty happy with the results, but I would love to make this again with different yarn. Maybe something more delicate.

I still need to add sleeves...maybe, I kinda like it sleeveless.

Lovely Sparkly Sweater

I have a holiday party this weekend and I bought a special dress for it. But I needed something for my shoulders, so I whipped up this little sweater with a diamond fillet pattern made from recycled yarn.

Starting anew in a new home

I have a few projects that need some finishing work, but for the most part, they are done. So, I decided to start another project as a reward for accomplishing my big move to the west coast. I found this beautiful cardigan through Ravelry.com. (If you haven't signed up for the waiting list, you really need to get your butt over there.) I am using yarn that I recycled from this huge shapeless sweater that I once owned. I think the yarn will be put to better use in my new project.

Finally, an FO

I don't like moving. By moving, I mean packing and transporting yourself to your new place. It is nice to experience life in a new place, but the actual process of getting there is exhausting and kind of puts your life on hold. However, through the move, I somehow managed to finish a baby blanket for my friends new baby.









Of course, I didn't finish it before he was born, or even before we moved. So, now I need to ship it to them. I just hope he hasn't outgrown it yet.

I'm still alive and crocheting

I'm in the middle of planning a move from Illinois to California, so needless to say, I have been pretty busy. But I am still crocheting. I started a basket to use up some of my stash. I also have a friend expecting a baby in the next few weeks and I have started an afghan for her baby. I will have pictures soon. I would really like to use a lot of my yarn so that I don't have to move it.

2 days=1 scarf

Using a Q hook on chunky yarn makes things go really quickly.






I am pretty much in stash busting mode (hence, the scarf) since we are moving soon. I also started a basket today.

Finishing

I added more fringe to the scarf for my aunt and then I tried wearing it a different way and I am much happier with the results.





I finally finished my mom's scarf.








And started another scarf







Lots of purple. Eek. I know. I am moving on soon, I hope.
